PanaCast 2 can become hot to the touch during live streaming, because it consumes approximately 4.5W of power without a cooling fan. It is normal for the camera system to operate at an elevated temperature. PanaCast 2 is built to work at an ambient temperature range of 0°C - 40°C (32°F - 104°F). The aluminum enclosure of the camera is designed as a heat sink.
In environmental conditions above 30°C (86°F), PanaCast 2 can become hot to the touch during live streaming. Please do not touch the top surface of camera while it is operating. The camera system has been constructed and tested to work non-stop 24/7 with continuous video streaming. It is safe to run the camera system continuously.
